In Sexy Brazil, Religion Dictates Abortion Laws
Series: Women defend what's theirs: the female body
Story by: Raphael Durao & Chantal James
Summary
Summary
In Brazil, a country where abortion is still illegal, religion is still the primary influence when it comes to abortion policy. Consequently, backstreet abortions and other dangerous methods of terminating pregnancy are increasingly common.
Discussion
-
We can all agree that abortion is undesirable and a terrible experience for a woman to go through, physically and mentally. However, who will take care of these "unwanted" children? Certainly not the church nor governments. The real issues are the lack of education and the never ending social disparities. Congratulations, this is excellent work!! I want to see more.
