Both before a conflict and after its dust has settled, an army of international do-gooders and social entrepeneurs comes to assist the region's recovery. Among them are the gold diggers: people who make a global career in fields like security, health care or expat-hospitality. Coming from the West or from countries like India or Zimbabwe, they move from one conflicted region to another in pursuit of adventure and financial gain.
